The history of the firm can be traced back to the early 1960’s in Kendallville, Indiana when an Internal Revenue Service agent named Allen Nelson audited a taxpayer who was represented by an accountant practicing in Kendallville. That examination eventually led to the establishment of a new firm in 1968 by Allen Nelson. His practice prospered enough to allow Scott R. Frick to join him in 1992 and to form a new firm, Nelson & Frick, P.C. in 1993.
Allen Nelson retired in 1996 handing the reins to Mr. Frick. Four years later, the firm moved to it’s current site at 113 N. Main St. in downtown Kendallville. The firm has grown from two staff members to the current four along with two part-time associates. The business has expanded and grown to meet the ever changing business needs of its clients. The firm mainly serves business and individuals from Noble County, some of its clients are from as far away as Boyne County, Michigan and Lincoln, Alabama.
